Dr Sheila Jungmeyer

Dr Jungmeyer is originally from Eldon, Missouri near Lake of the Ozarks. During high school she worked for the family business, Jungmeyer Heating and Air Conditioning. Dr Jungmeyer learned the value of treating people right and that return business is what keeps things going. From her father she learned sheet metal work, welding, woodworking as well as balancing a checkbook and managing the financial issues with running a business.

Dr Jungmeyer left Eldon to attend Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. In l992 she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr Jungmeyer was recognized for outstanding achievement on National Boards and was in the Honor’s Program during Dental School. Dr Jungmeyer’s personal favorite achievement was being an elected class officer for three years during dental school.

Before opening her practice in Lee’s Summit in l996, Dr Jungmeyer worked in a group practice. She gained clinical experience from Dr Dale Ewing and Dr Merle Nunemaker. Dr Ewing had been a practicing dentist for 50 years. There is much to be learned from that kind of experience. Dr Nunemaker is still practicing in South Kansas City and is very active in the Missouri Dental Association and the American Dental Association. The variety of clinical philosophy and second to none ethics was the best possible experience as a new graduate.

Dr Jungmeyer is married and has three children. She has been a resident of Lee’s Summit since l996. Her hobbies include traveling, scuba diving, flying airplanes, snow skiing and keeping up with her kids. Her practice and family keep her very busy. She has found the best way to do business is to treat patients and employees like family. Her amazing staff keeps things running smoothly as possible.

Dr Jungmeyer would like to thank her patients for their patience during the multiple maternity leaves since 2007. There have been five born to the office staff and two have been to Dr Jungmeyer.

Dr. Samantha Hindupur

Dr. Samantha Hindupur grew up in St. Joseph, MO just 50 miles north of Kansas City. The small town allowed Dr. Hindupur to appreciate Midwestern values at a young age. Ever since high school, she knew that she wanted to be a dentist and she worked hard achieving the award of Salutatorian of her high school class.

Staying in the Midwest, Dr. Hindupur attended Creighton University in Omaha, NE because of its well-known background in academic sciences. In 2009, Dr. Hindupur graduated from UMKC School of Dentistry. During dental school, Dr. Hindupur received the Dean’s Academic Achievement award every year and was student council vice-president of her class. Dr. Hindupur also had the opportunity to volunteer in a medical mission trip providing dental services to the locals of Black River, Jamaica. The dental team on this trip extracted over 250 teeth in four days!

After graduating dental school, Dr. Hindupur stayed at UMKC to do a one-year residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. This program helped transition her into private practice and learn more complicated procedures such as implants, crowns, and bridge work. Dr. Hindupur is always interested in learning new concepts in dentistry and attends several continuing education courses and conferences around the country.

In her free time, Dr. Hindupur loves to spend time with friends and family as well as traveling. Recent trips to Cabo San Lucus, Mexico and Oahu, Hawaii are on the top of her list. Dr. Hindupur is so excited to be part of the wonderful dental team of Dr. Sheila Jungmeyer and strives to provide her patients with the utmost dental care.
